(3.75/5)This is a weird one... Kasane, an OL (office lady), falls in love w/ Meguru, a waitress at a restaurant she frequents. After discovering the waitress is in high school, they agree to be contractual sisters, with a bare minimum of questions (and clearly both with ulterior motives). It's only in the last chapter that someone finally starts asking the right questions! Setting the adult & high school student age gap aside, there's one clear red flag that I'm guessing will cause some drama in volume or two.
Anyway the book basically consists of the Kasane & Meguru spending time together, or Kasane daydreaming about Meguru (with the occasional self-reminder of "oh wait, she's a high school student, what am I thinking?!")... she does this both when Meguru's not around, and when they're together - so sometimes it's hard to tell which is which. Overall I enjoyed it enough to keep reading, but there isn't anything particularly interesting to it yet.
Language-wise, I think the L25 rating is a bit high, even with the lack of furigana. I certainly had a much easier time with this than say ホリミヤ | L25 (has furigana) or NEW GAME! | L25 (no furigana).

Light read about silly OL and cool JK
Writing this as of vol 5.
Learning
It's a cute read I picked up to increase my confidence in reading without furigana. This author's other 3 vol highschool yuri was cute, with no furigana and as low as level 17-18. That's how I found this series.
Content warning
It's overall light but if incest-incest might be a problematic subject for you, maybe pass up on this one as in the next volumes of this series we get a glimpse of it it's only in flashback and I'm 97% sure it didn't get sexual but I freaked out for a hot second there
The setting itself
We're saying OL is "in love" but as her ex will also say later it doesn't quite seem like that? She's daydreaming about cutesy yuri stuff, but it doesn't seem like she's going to act on any of that. She's soothed by this "sister" in the same way she was soothed by her fave idol, which causes a big gap between her otaku thoughts and her self-contained actions.
This gap and her decision to not initiate anything ever and just follow with what JK asks for is what's making this work. JK is the cool collected and seems to know what she wants and that's an illusion too, otherwise she'd not do something as weird as this contract
The whole "Contract sisters" idea is very weird and I appreciate how in-universe it's not normal from any point of view haha.
It's there to give the characters an excuse to spend quality time together and cut the time of building up to a close relationship.
