Volume 3 picks up the plot nicely; would definitely recommend giving it a shot if volume 2 felt slow to you. Interestingly, outside of the first chapter, there really wasn't any mature content shown. Alluded to, perhaps, but not shown. We got several different viewpoints (including 裕太 and 雅紀), which was really nice, and also got to see the protagonist interact with people who were not his family members for once.
