A mix between a novel and an essay
This is both a novel and an essay in one. The main character's wife, Luisa, loses her memory and we see how they can rebuild their life, with Luisa now being Blanca. This story is interrupted at times by the essay part, which cites many different authors and medical cases related to amnesia.
It was a pretty nice read, although the medical information is very outdated (the book was published in 1918). Same with the main character's view on women, it's very questionnable, but it matches the time
