Harder than the others but still not C2
The most difficult book of the Darakwon Korean Reader series. It's most definitely not C2, that's completely inaccurate. It is however the hardest of the bunch (I know right now on Natively the level is lower than the C1 book, but please disregard that). If you've read all the previous ones most of the vocab shouldn't be too difficult, but there's still a fair share of vocab that isn't present in the other 7 books. What's a bit harder than simply the vocab is the grammar and multiple expressions, although as usual, notes throughout the book help clear these up.
As for the story, I found it to be a bit similar to 전우치전's, so it didn't keep me as captivated with the story as the other ones did. I liked the ending though, and this is also an important folktale to know for daily life, as you'll often find it referenced, whether that's in books, dramas, or even just regular conversations.
