This book has one of my favorite battles, with the 雷獣兄弟 siblings. It has a very raw quality, with the feeling that the characters could actually die at any moment (as opposed to later in the series, when they're more powerful and experienced). The second story is also really well done! Kagome is brave and quick thinking as ever, and it's beautiful how Inuyasha supports her, despite his misgivings about the danger she's putting herself in.
