A slow burning thriller that dodges the action
This book becomes more difficult to read than it perhaps should be due to the high number of characters and storylines that get added in. For a long time, the action keeps happening elsewhere, and just as it seems like one storyline is warming up the author cuts elsewhere. They also play with time and sometimes jump perspective unexpectedly mid-chapter. This, along with an extremely long list of names, made the book something of a chore for me.
