(2.25/5)This could have been a very soft horror mystery about people who keep forgetting and the local urban legend about the entity that takes your memories. Unfortunately it didn't live up to it's potential for me.
I liked the investigation in the first half, and I liked the inherent creepyness of the situation at the end. But I wish it had leaned into the creepiness more. I did not enjoy the weird way the female characters were described or treated.

The first part wasn't enjoyable. The way the female characters are described & treated just isn't something I am interested in reading. I did however end up liking the overall book. I personally didn't mind the POV changes, they kept things moving and gave us a break from the unlikeable first and main character.
