This book falls squarely into the young person gets sick and/or is dying to make a romance dramatic trope. Which is a shame, because it had a really interesting first half with a lot of light sci-fi elements and a mystery around that.
This book has an epilogue, and then 2 chapters that follow it. I was angry after the epilogue, annoyed after the following chapter, and then kinda rolled my eyes at the last chapter that decided to undo a lot of what it had committed it
