Long for a Graded Reader of this level, but pretty doable

The story follows a Kenyan exchange student who develops a fascination with Shiitake mushrooms and seeks to learn more about them. The story delves into technical details at times, but overall is quite feasible.

Quite long for this level, some technical language about Shiitake mushrooms

Cool way to learn how these mushrooms are made. The text is quite long and very good for practice, there are some technical words but the vocabulary is pretty small and easy

Great long, but not too complicated reading.

Enjoyable, I learned some words, would recommend.

Long compared to other graded readers, but very interesting if you have any interest whatsoever in mushrooms and how they're cultivated. So long as you've learned passive forms of verbs, you shouldn't have much difficulty with this.

Told from the perspective of an exchange student from Kenia. Interesting information on how mushrooms are cultivated and why there are so many in Ōita prefecture. There are some biological terms but they are usually explained in the following sentences.
