いいです

  • you can learn different phrases used at a convenience store ('would you like a bag?' 'would you like it heated up?')
  • the book is not just written in kana which makes it less confusing personally and allows you to learn new words with their kanji
  • it shows that 'いいです' can be used in multiple different ways and reassures learners that it's fine to be confused at first, since the main character does himself
  • simple enough for a beginner to be able to comfortably read, but not too easy where

Very fun and easy, but it can be confusing if you don't understand the multiple meanings and contexts of いいです. I read it three times and I began to understand slowly :)

This was fun to read, and although I needed to use the translator to understand some sentences, it was educational. I liked how they showed both meanings of いいです or だいじょうぶ- I was not aware that they can both mean yes or no. It's a bit like "thanks" :)

While the illustration of the range of いいです is mostly good, I found the examples at the convenience store especially frustrating. It can in fact be really difficult to tell the difference between "No thanks, I'm good," and "Yes please," and the book basically does nothing to clarify it. I think you're supposed to be able to tell from the customer's tone of voice but the rapid transitions and the lack of any feedback on which interpretation is correct don't help. They could have at least used som
