The plot moves sluggishly for a lot of the book, as it's spent stationary in a ski resort hunting for a macguffin. Still, it was weirdly pleasant to read, mainly because of the ups and downs on the way.
Like all Keigo Higashino books, the grammar used is quite simple. The more unusual vocabulary in the book relates to a specific disease and various qualities of snowy mountains.
