I liked this a lot more than 世にも奇妙な商品カタログ, the author's other series! Since they do have a similar style (i.e. short stories/arcs with an interesting device/setting as the main point), here's a comparison of things I liked in each:

もしもの世界ルーレットあったら便利:

• Much longer arcs! While each arc stands more or less on its own, they are all embedded in the bigger narrative, and their length doesn't make them feel like short stories.
• A wider host of recurring characters which the main character frequently

From the author of 世にも奇妙な商品カタログ, a new series comes with the same style but slightly changed format.

The book is still divided in 3 sub-stories, but these are longer, and are in a clear same setup, making it easier to follow. The twists the author gives on the stories greatly benefit on the delivery aspect from the longer setup.
