[DeepL Translation - needs review] This novel, which can be read after completion of the elementary level, features Mike Miller as the main character.

(4.27/5)Great read!
Easy if you are N3 level. But would probably recommend reading anytime after you know 3k words
Second book in the ミラーさん series. I found this one was more condensed than the previous book and stuck to very similar topics whereas the first book seemed to have more variety in it than this one, possibly because the first book had shorter chapters so could cover more topics.
I did find this one interesting to read, covered more than just the basic stuff from the first textbook but also included a chapter of a correspondence conversation between two of the characters which I found a nice change from the norm.
Would recommend this for N4 level though N5 level may understand parts, N4 level or higher would be needed to understand the higher and more complex grammar. Still a decent read which I will read again to help brush up on my grammar.
I found the second book more interesting than the first. I presume that's due to the big jump in difficultly allowing the author to write a more interesting story.
FYI, according to the publisher: volume 1 is ~N4 level and volume 2 ~N3.

Perfect as a first novel before reading native materials. And it's really good to do an intensive reading with this one too because all the grammars are only up to N3 since this is a companion book for Minna no Nihongo.
