If you liked this you'll probably like https://learnnatively.com/book/d3bdc02d62/ -- same author, similar feel: a set of linked uncanny stories. I liked both a lot, whereas I bounced off Tatami Galaxy based on the first few pages and a bit of the anime, so I get the impression this author's work can be quite varied both in style and in difficulty level.

Four stories by four different narrators, all taking place in Kyoto. While all four stories stand on their own, they're obviously interconnected in subtle, disguised ways. I regret leaving long intervals between some of the stories, as I'm sure I would have noticed more connections if I had read the book without breaks. This is a book that is definitely worth a careful reread.
