I remember watching the anime a few years ago thinking "ehhh it's nothing that big" - but in this very volume, there was one very, very gruesome death that made me sick even just thinking about this: I wonder if it's a bit, like, growing up, you gravitate towards "edgy things" because they're so far removed from the mainstream they make you feel something, but then you get to this point in life where this murder scene appears and you go like WHY WOULD YOU EVEN WRITE THIS WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG W

Let's read Tokyo Ghoul!
I'll be writing reviews for every volume of this great piece of manga. So let's go and read it in Japanese! This volume starts a bit slower, but it's exactly here that we get a grasp of how the underworld of Ghouls works in Tokyo. The main character is still immature and weak here, but we can expect a lot of growth going forward.
