Interesting start
This is a new work by Arakawa Hiromu.
I thought I'd just check out a few pages, but ended up reading the whole volume in one shot. Excellent world-building, and the story has been moving at a good pace so far.
Language-wise, I looked up a few vocab words here and there (easy to do because of full furigana) and slowed down for lore bits in the second half of the volume. There's one or two characters that speak in a bit of an archaic way as well. However, on the whole I think this volume is more accessible than some other shounen manga that go into more technical jargon.
Edit: I had a look at chapter 5, and yes, it does get a bit harder.

Good story, deceptively high language level
This is the newest series by the critically acclaimed Fullmetal Alchemist author Arakawa Hiromu. Like Fullmetal Alchemist, this series has interesting characters, a captivating world, and dynamic magic system.
This story follows a set of twins, Asa and Yuru, as they navigate a world filled with lies and deceit. Magic users in this series posses a pair (tsugai) of gods or spirits contracted to their master. The tsugai can be used in combat or for practical means, much like the magic systems in Jujutsu Kaisen, HunterxHunter, or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
While the story is interesting, I do believe the language level for the series is deceptively high. While the most common grammar and vocabulary falls on the N3-N2 boundary, the use of archaic dialect forms, niche vocabulary, and specific Japanese history references raises the language level to firmly N2 in my mind. The difficulty increases as you continue through the series.
That said, it's worth the challenge!
