First of all, the inclusion of an aromantic character was really nice. That aside, for a book taking itself this seriously, it lost me quite a bit on the realism front. Also the characters are just way too monologue-y for my taste, and that's one area where the lack of realism comes in. I was a little surprised at how little Akira was focused on in this volume. And to the extent that she was present, I found some of her portrayal satisfying, and some of it not so believable
