I was a little concerned last volume we would slide into a more "new character of the week" kind of vibe, given that so many new faces popped up that volume, but that's since calmed down in volume 3, which I'm happy with. There are quite a few characters running around now, and adding in a good dose of university politicking (also focused on in volume 2), and the series feels like it's got a different vibe going on than what I was feeling in volume 1.
