I had to make an account because I saw the rating this book had on here. Amazing book, great short stories with an overarching story (mildly), quite literally had me jumping out of my seat when I read it way back when. 5/5 would read again.
More short stories, these are some spoopy tales of live-in maids at grand mansions and the twisted happenings they encounter. Each story ends with essentially a punchline as the last sentence, which made them feel a bit cheap imo. I feel like you could make some good horror flicks out of some of these stories though. Engaging, but not super memorable.
