Interesting but kinda sucks for language learning
I dropped this book because it's hard enough that all the enjoyment from the story is gone. The writing isn't the best quality either; there are some really really long sentences that don't need to be that long - making it feel like bad writing rather than a stylistic choice that adds to the story. Because it's set during Japanese occupation theres a lot of vocab that is pretty useless to learn but still feels kind of necessary to fully grasp the story. At the time of writing this review 4/07/2
