(4.50/5)A book about 4 "messengers" who can see the remaining seconds of a person's life (and bestow a bit more).
I enjoyed this book, but admittedly it moved more slowly than I would have liked. Overall though it was a good read and I enjoyed it.
I read this very early on in my Japanese learning, so it's hard for me to recall what the difficulty was precisely, but I didn't struggle too much with vocab (it was largely day-to-day) and the grammar, as a I remember it, was straight forward.

(passed N2 for reference) Language-wise it wasn't too difficult and furigana is provided for harder words in my physical edition.
Entertainment-wise - hoo boy I really want to go on a unhinged rant about the story. No Spoilers but basically the climax happens in the last 50 pages and basically non of the questions like the whole mystery of why messengers even exist are ever answered. Oh and the ending was trash. I wasn't expecting a happy ending based on the blurb but it was even worse than I h
