Jashin-chan continues to be an enjoyable and pretty smooth read, as usual there's one or two pop culture references I have to look up (apparantly the temple Pekora gets a part time gig at is from Fist of the North Star) and I finally learned my first actual no-no word so that was fun. By this point there's enough of an established cast that it feels like a proper ensemble comedy and that's helped diversify this series from its "Tom and Jerry for weebs" origins. It seems like the formula is to introduce a new wacky character in the final chapter of each volume and it's definitely an effective way for me to want to read the next volume, but even if they weren't this is fun and easy enough for me to want to keep reading while still having enough new words to support my learning journey. I think I'm getting a bit better at the rough slangy grammar too, which is helping.
