In this short story, the main character takes a rather uncommon decision, to say the least. Castration. Why? How? That's what we get to understand little by little through the story.
While it was an interesting premise, I'm not a fan of the super religious context. It's a very important topic in this story, with lots of descriptions of religions things (christian, I'd say probably catholic but don't quote me on that). This also impacts the vocab, and if you aren't familiar with religious vocab
