This book was hilariously difficult for me when I read it. I thought as a YA book it would be reasonably easy, but it was so hard!
What I found difficult:
Slang, some of it outdated (according to my French tutor)
Grammar used in casual speech
Some idioms I didn't realize were idioms
There was also of course vocab I didn't know, but I do not recall the vocab being the main difficulty.
It's hard to say for sure what level I think this should be, because CEFR ratings don't really take into account comfort with casual teen speak, but I think having comfort with B2+ grammar and some other books under your belt would be my recommendation.
