Her parents, driven by a desire to save their sickly daughter, become involved in a "mysterious religion," and their beliefs distort the shape of their family. The story follows the early teenage years of a girl who's parents are slowly getting more and more dragged into a religious cult.
Despite the background of the cult, it's a pretty down to earth story, with schoolgirl crushes, gossip, insecurities etc.
It felt a bit too slow for me at points, hence the medium rating, however the ending spotting shooting stars, leaving us to assume the parents and her are on different trajectories, was a very nice end.
