Portuguese priest/illegal imigrant
The book is very interesting, but not a page-turner for me. I was especially happy to understand some obscure words from old Portuguese. The book is about a priest who illegally enters Japan to preach. Christianity was illegal at that time. Some of the passages of the book felt like my own experiences of being a foreigner here in Japan.
