I felt this was significantly harder than book 1. There are still easier sections, but there are also section where I felt I had to look up every second word. 🙈 Which is why I was kinda bored for a lot of it. Couldn't really get into a good reading flow. I think it's probably a good stepping stone, if you want to read 時代 literature. The vocabulary is definitely a tad on the archaic side.

I also read this book while listening to the audiobook because it helps me set a steady reading pace by following along with the narrator.

I didn’t like the first half of this book compared to the previous volume, primarily because it uses one of my least favorite tropes in romance stories: miscommunication! Thankfully, the situation is eventually resolved and the main character shines ones more by the end of the volume.
