To quote from the Okazu review of volume 3 (not by me): "Much like Cheeful Amnesia, this is not a series one takes seriously, but it takes itself – and it’s audience – more seriously than the former, taking time to address and resolve some issues. The main concern of homophobia in the workplace is absolutely handled with a handwave of “or, what if there wasn’t any?”" (I haven't read Cheerful Amnesia, so 知らんけど on the comparison)
Superficially a lot of this story is really hard to buy, and I wish Sal Jiang had written Ayaka's initial attempts at wooing Hiroko just a bit more convincingly (ie less bluntly), so I could genuinely believe that Hiroko would miss that Ayaka liked her. Even then though , there's more beneath the surface. To be fair, the humor is very solid.
Besides that, the portrayal of being a closeted lesbian in an office workspace, and all the dynamics involved - especially starting from mid vol 2 - seems very realistic. I especially loved the inclusion of the regulars at the lesbian bar, and the side character (Ayaka's best friend at work). Despite the over the topness, all the characters felt like real adults, and that's refreshing to read in a yuri manga.
