Story: Pretty decent for a book 1. The rather unique hook and premise is really great, and the story stays interesting enough. The main challenges being that Yufi is kind of flat, when you're not getting her perspective, and Ilya kinda goes on too long sometimes. It keeps things interesting by shifting between 4 characters' perspectives - mostly Anis & Yufi, but also Anis' father (the king) and Ilya (the maid). The father characters are really well written, and there's much to appreciate the
