Harriet Burden is the wife of an influential New York gallerist. After his untimely death, she embarks on a secret experiment: a career as an installation artist, concealing herself behind the supposed work of three male "masks" — work that she herself has created. But the Faustian bargain goes wrong. One of these masked men, himself a well-known artist, subverts her game and sets his own against it. A battle between two clashing great minds ensues — a fight to the death.
