Life Switch begins with a young man generally known as お頭 (おかしら), due to his being the leader of a band of thieves, robbing a woman. Unfortunately for him, that woman is a witch, and she curses him to take a form that reflects his heart. Left as a small, fluffy dog, お頭's followers abandon him, with the sole exception of セファ, a cyborg dedicated to his cause, and the two head out to try to undo his curse.
I was a bit lukewarm at first; while I liked the concept, each chapter being a mini-story of "can this cure me? It won't for whatever reason, so let's move on" had a bit of trouble holding my interest. What kept me going until getting more into the book later on was お頭's fluffy adorableness; the author clearly enjoys making him as cute as possible, which I was very happy with. I also enjoyed our first look at セファ's character; he's more than happy if the boss stays as a small animal, since it means the boss can't leave him.
While セファ talks in a very standard, polite language, お頭 is full of slang, which can make him a bit of a pain to read at times. Other than that there's some curse/spell vocabulary, but nothing too extensive.
