Even with a relatively low level, I could read this book by doing like 3-4 manual dictionary lookups per story, in an environment where people were talking to me at the same time.
If there were lots of books like these in digital format, that would increase the level slightly every time, I would gladly read them.
These stories are engaging, and fun to read. The vocabulary is fairly easy to understand, and the grammar isn't too complicated. My favorite story from this collection remains 節分の鬼. Definitely a quick read and fun to reread during slow and lazy days.
