Great starter book

The story is of a boy, that is often teased at school, who finds strength and determination from playing soccer through a chance encounter. The story progresses much like any other sports anime, so in that, it is predictable but easy to read.

I enjoyed the story for what it is, but what I got out of it most is the fluidity of reading dialogues, scene descriptions etc. Furigana is included on all words and there weren't too many challenging words to pick up, aside for sports-related expressions.
