A children's story about work place harassment, basically.
I feel like I'm always revising my reviews of 宮沢賢治's work. It's not unusual for me to dislike it on first pass, but then the story gets stuck in my head and I can't help but think about it and turn it over in my head afterwards. I originally rated this 2, and now it's a 4. Take that as you will.
If you read this with a read-aloud it probably won't be too tricky to follow, or if you're already familiar with old texts - but otherwise this will be difficult. Old writing conventions, kanji usage, vocabulary, and grammar. I'm not sure exactly when this was published but the author only lived til 1933, so before then.
