Lighthearted easy read

There is an audiobook and it's well made (apparently there are different versions, I am talking about the audiobook.jp one)
Normal Kanji usage, almost no Furigana
Relatively little descriptive scenes, a lot of the book is dialogue
There are a lot of other books in the series and since it has been a while since it came out, it is very easy to get them used for cheap
Story is semi interesting - it's very easy to figure out the villain and some of the other mysteries get solved a little lazily in the last paragraphs of the story, but considering how easy the book is, it is one of the more interesting ones in it's "weight class"
Trigger warning: There are a few scenes that depict sexual harassment, but they're quickly over and the book doesn't take any of those really seriously, so they don't become a huge plot point
If you read あなた by the same author - this book feels very similar, but is a bit more fleshed out

I listened to the audiobook, I did not read the text.

Language notes:

Heavy on dialogue, no specialized vocabulary. Nothing about the grammar is flowery. If you are listening to the audiobook there will be a time when a person is speaking on a phone and the distortion effect they use makes it hard to pick out the words a bit.

Review:

I usually really enjoy 赤川次郎 books, but this one didn't really do it for me. I think having such a young cast (the three sisters) in addition the oldest sister striking me as a complete airhead just didn't really do anything for me. I think I prefer 赤川's books with older characters. I also think he shines when he does tangled webs of relationships, which this didn't really give me. Like another reviewer, I found the mystery here pretty weak and easy to solve.

I think this book would be a ok early choice for someone getting comfortable with reading in Japanese, but I also think the author has other works at the same level which are better.
