I love the conclusion of the battle from last volume (one of the best in the series). It's really great how diplomatic Kagome is afterwards, trying pacify Kouga and Inuyasha (though she shouldn't have to). The way that sets the stage for Kagome later seeing Inuyasha and Kikyou's chance meeting is really well crafted. Especially since it causes Inuyasha to realize how unfair it is that he's hurting her b/c he can't abandon Kikyou. I really
