[DeepL Translation - needs review] On March 11, 2011, a massive earthquake and tsunami hit Japan. Five years later, a female customer came to a small barbershop. She had been out near the sea that day. Reiko Yui, the owner of the barber shop, cut her hair and listened to her story. Level 4 is a little difficult, but you can read more stories by the same author at TONGARI BOOKS.

(4.46/5)Five years after the earth quake and tsunami of 11 March 2011, Yui Reiko welcomes a customer to her little barbershop who was out near the sea that day. As Reiko cuts her hair, the customer tells her story.
I found the vocabulary and grammar both easy to understand for readers with N3 reading abilities. If you are looking for a simpler story that makes use of the grammar points you have already learnt, but is already structured like a typical short story would be, then this reader should be perfect for you.
Great story.
All grammar <=N3 level.
A few N2 level words, mostly <= N3 readability though.

Shocking storyline… definitely an intriguing read
It is a fairly quick read and utilizes familiar grammar concepts. I felt that it helped me understand casual speech more fully. It also has some unfamiliar words that help build the atmosphere. I thought it was interesting.
