I picked this up because reviews rated it lowly for having images that were too sensual. The other things that appealed to me: 1. a Chinese setting 2. an art style I rarely see from Japanese mangakas. The artist absolutely delivered on both fronts.
It is challenging because it is set in ancient China. So, there is some difficult to translate vocabulary that takes searching. Some of it is explained in footnotes, but I often had to look up words in the footnotes too. It's not word dense though
