This is the closest thing to a textbook that I am still looking at. I think that the series is compact and great for acquiring the kanji naturally, progressively, with snippets of grammar. The downfall is that just like flashcards, without a continuing narrative to maintain interest, I feel like stopping after a sentence or after completing a kanji. This is the opposite of I want to happen. Learn natively % complete is keeping me chugging along.
