Cute and funny manga about a die-hard gamer who adopts a lost kitten and discovers the joys of cat ownership. Notably, the main character is a woman around 30 who loves RPGs. Nothing deep or melodramatic here, no romance or fanservice either: just a gentle, pleasant, episodic slice of life comedy. If you're a gamer who likes cats, this manga was written specifically for you. In May 2022, this manga will be available in English under the name Cat + Gamer.
From a language learning perspective, not bad at all. Mostly complete furigana; it's missing when showing video game screens because video games don't usually have furigana, so that can be a problem for understanding some jokes. Because so much of the manga is just the narrator talking to herself about either her cat or her video games, you'll need to know vocabulary related to those topics, but there's not a lot of slang or keigo or dialect. If you could handle Yotsuba, you can get through this one too.
