Interesting collection of a boy's slightly clumsy and 哀れな first experiences of adolescent romance. The main character is interesting, and you simultaneously feel for, and cringe at, him. I liked that the female characters all have lives of their own, and sort of come in and out of the story in different ways.
After each story there's a poem reflecting on or reacting to the story. At the end, there's a while long fairy tale (that I skipped bc long, handwritten prose that wasn't getting to the p
