You may know the author's earlier series ロンリーガールに逆らえない. While you can tell it's the same author, this series is a bit faster-paced, not reliant on a blackmail gimmick, and dealing with self-confidence and perception issues much earlier on. Anyway I'm a fan of both, and definitely recommend giving both a try!
