(3.67/5)A unique volume of short stories. These weren't previously published in the magazine, and all (except the last) directly feature one of the main cast members. Some of the information here will definitely be relevant in the main story! Two stories even take place in the near future (but are intended to be read now). The umbrella story was my least favorite (tho there are some great sections), as it's meandering, and I was never interested in it in the first place. It's the only one that does not feature any main cast member, and is totally skippable.

[Content & Thoughts]
In this volume we have a main story and collection of short stories. In comparison to previous short story collections Konno-sensei wrote these especially for this volume. So they were not printed in a magazine before.
The main story is about Shimako, Yumi & Yoshino preparing white day gifts. I enjoyed the short stories more and loved how Konno-sensei put these in. It all felt connected like Yumi recollects something and then we get a short story about this, or Yoshino is talking about a topic and we get a short story about that.
Some thoughts about the short stories:
As a fan of Eriko-sama I really enjoyed the story with her and her target lover’s daughter. :-) It was also fun to see how Sei ended up in Italy and behaving typically Sei-like with the speaking bird +laugh+ Also kind of cool that Kei did not even had to try teaching the bird something but ot just learned. Hehe. Sei was not amused :-D Really interesting was the background story of Shimako's family. And I did not expect such cool stories about Yumis umbrella. Those small pieces were really interesting

A lot of PoV changes, but with the previous short stories this should not be a problem anymore when reaching this volume.
This volume felt slightly more difficult than the one before - though JPDB suggest otherwise. Maybe there were a lot of new words for me in this volume.
However, I went through this book really fast.
