Excellent translation, story is ok
I read this alongside the English, and while there's a certain flavor lost in translation (and another flavor gained), I found it to be a very excellent, faithful and intelligible translation - easier to understand than the English!
I stopped it halfway, because the story itself wasn't interesting enough for me to want to finish twice right now. Still it's worth reading, for its historical significance, I think.
