I really enjoy 太宰's writing style. This was a story of two people discussing the stated idea of「男は嘘うそをつく事をやめて、女は慾を捨てたら、それでもう日本の新しい建設が出来る」with a related war time anecdote.
Because this was written post-war it's pretty modern Japanese and not very difficult to follow excepting some dialogue with a dialect.
