(3.36/5)The language in this novel isn't difficult, but sometimes there were sentences up to 3 times longer than usual were the protagonist Yuuta ponders about something more or less related to the situation. I found those difficult to follow, and I couldn't understand some of them. Apart from that, the plot is simple, and the dialogues are easy.
Story wise it's entertaining. The siblings behave in a credible manner and it is easy to identify with both of them most of the time. The "fanservice", if you can even call it that, is few and coherent with the plot, which is rare in most light novels, and the relationship between them is portrayed very naturally.
I recommend this book.

義妹生活 (Days with my stepsister) is a fantastic romcom! The two protagonists, Ayase Saki and Asamura Yuuta (both 17) become siblings after their parents marry each other. They promise themselves to keep a distant relationship. They gradually become closer. The unfolding romance is not in any way forced or weird, it's actually pretty pure. It's an outstanding romcom and the cover art and drawings are great too. It currently has 5 volumes, and a new volume is released around every 4 months. I'm always reading the newly released volumes the second they come out.
Language wise this LN has a lof of slice of life vocabulary to offer, especially regarding school/friends/cooking/baito. It's a very good beginner LN and the perfect option if you like more serious and not so trashy romcoms.
