This volume brings together two works: Aoi Nōto (The Blue Notebook), a tale of friendship among girls making their way through the bleak and desolate years just after the war's end, and Shōnen (The Boy), the story of a girl separated from her mother who begins to grow up through her encounter with a lonely young boy.
