Usually by the second volume of a series, I've generally gotten accustomed to the language quirks and that seemed to be the case here, but volume 2 of Furi-San introduces a new character who's obsessed with Yakuza stories and uses a lot of that vocab, but she repeats the same words very frequently and I'd gotten on fine by the end of her introductory chapter.
Since the introductions and setup are out of the way, the story really grows here and I think it's really in volume 2 that I became hooke
