A story of loss, acceptance, and love

This famous work from Miyamoto Teru did not have a profound impact the moment I finished it and moved on to the next book. However, over the following week I found myself thinking about it often. Reflecting on the dynamics between characters, considering how I would've felt in their situation, and weighing their world views against my own. The story is beautiful, the writing style is beautiful, and in the end it left a lasting impression on me.
