Poor digital quality
At the time of reading, the Kindle version was incredibly low quality. There's full furigana on all the words, but you wouldn't know it from the digital version; the furigana were basically unreadable. Otherwise an enjoyable book; it feels weird to write a series summary on volume 4 (I started here after reading the first three in English), so I'll hold. I'm hoping to read the LN source at some point, so I should be able to write a nice summary then.

Another interesting volume
Kondou navigates workplace (i.e., royal) politics with his cool rationality and resourcefulness. Aresh shows his possessive side, but it is also made clear that Kondou consents to the changes Aresh imposes on him. Kondou receives a new and physically dangerous assignment: to investigate the finances of the church. Kondou begins to delegate work, and take other baby steps towards being less obsessed with efficiency.
The way the story unfolds is well done, and we get to read Kondou's thoughtful
